Drive Train Rebuilds & Repairs
Automatic & Standard Transmission Rebuilds and Repairs
The transmission transfers power from the engine to the driveshaft which power the wheels. Gears inside the transmission determine the wheel speed and torque based on engine output.
Transfer Case Rebuilds and Repairs
Transfer cases are found in all wheel and 4-wheel drive cars. The function of the transfer case is to distribute power evenly to each wheel. If your vehicle car is having trouble moving, the transfer case may be a factor and should be inspected.
Clutch Replacement
The clutch is a mechanical component that engages and disengages a standard transmission from the engine. If your vehicle has excess slipping when driving, your clutch may need attention.
Front & Rear Differential Rebuilds
A differential is a gear set found in most modern vehicles that allow the wheels to spin at different speeds when making turns. Signs of a bad differential can include noises such as grinding or humming. This should be inspected as soon as possible as it can affect driveability.
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
A CVT is an automatic transmission that is mainly controlled by pulleys and a belt. Using a steel belt drive, steel pulleys, computers, and special lubrication, the CVT allows the engine to work at the most efficient level at every RPM.
The efficiency of this transmission is making it an increasingly popular choice of automakers; however, because of its complexity, not many mechanics are trained to fix them.
As with any new technology it takes special skill and knowledge to repair and rebuild a broken part. Our automotive technicians at On the Go specialize in repairing and rebuilding CVTs and our facility is equipped with the latest tools to help get your car running like new.
If your car’s CVT transmission needs service, call us and we will provide you with the special care and trusted work we are known for.
CVT transmissions are most common in these makes
Nissan, Lexus, Chrysler, Mini Cooper, Subaru, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi and many other manufacturers’ smaller vehicles.
